A Velvet Kiss from the Loire Valley
There’s a reason the French Martini cocktail recipe has stood the test of time. This iconic fruity cocktail blends elegance and sophistication. It’s not just a sweet martini—it’s an experience.
A “Martini” by Any Other Name
While a true martini is famously dry and defined by gin, the French Martini rewrites the rules. This reinterpretation swaps classic gin martini ingredients for the bold sensuality of Chambord Liqueur, the vibrant tang of fresh pineapple juice, and the silky smoothness of high quality vodka—often Grey Goose, as a nod to its French vodka roots. The resulting drink is pure velvet: lush, spirited, and effortlessly celebratory.
How to Craft a Classic French Martini
This elegant cocktail only needs a few natural ingredients, a cocktail shaker, and a sense of occasion. Here’s the classic French Martini recipe made easy:
- 1 1/2 oz Grey Goose vodka
- 1/2 oz Chambord liqueur – the legendary black raspberry liqueur from the Loire Valley (Razzmatazz works too!)
- 2 oz fresh pineapple juice
Optional: A splash of champagne or club soda for a bubbly finish
Add everything to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well—until the outside of the shaker feels ice-cold to the touch.
Strain into a chilled martini glass, then garnish with a lemon twist, a pineapple wedge, or a few fresh raspberries on elegant cocktail picks. Voilà—sweet drinks don’t get more stylish than this.
